Daily Lessons from Life 11 August 2017 - PROK Nuclear strike n Quarrels with old uncle

1. "WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump on Friday (Aug 9) said a military option against North Korea was "locked and loaded," his latest salvo in an escalating war of words with Pyongyang's nuclear-armed regime.

"Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely. Hopefully Kim Jong Un will find another path!" Trump tweeted."

When u hv 2 heads of states responsible for some, one unproven, nuclear weapons"pissing at each other" like 2 spoilt brats with big ego n small thinking brain, it is natural to feel nerves that the "end of the world" could be started by stupidity!!

Will it ever happen? Not by a long shot. Yet, it cannot be totally eliminated as these 2 chaps r their own final check on: "r u absolutely sure u want me to fire the nuclear weapon"!

Will their underling disobey their orders? unlikely if their armed forces r very professional n follow orders.

Maybe there need another level of power to verify that all the orders to fire nuclear weapons r truly genuinely intended!!

Hang in there Mr Trump n Mr Kim. Give peace a chance.

2. "SINGAPORE: The couple who got into an ugly spat with an elderly man at a hawker centre in Toa Payoh was handed a S$2,700 fine on Friday (Aug 11).

Chow Chuin Yee, 46, was fined S$1,500 for using criminal force on 76-year-old Ng Ai Hua, by using his upper body to forcefully barge into Mr Ng.

Chow’s partner, Tay Puay Leng, 39, was fined S$1,200 for using abusive words on Mr Ng with the intent to cause alarm.

Video circulating widely on social media showed them arguing with the elderly man over the use of a table which Tay allegedly reserved. Chow was seen bumping into the elderly man from behind, nearly knocking him over.

Speaking to reporters outside the State Courts, Tay said tearfully that she wanted to apologise to Mr Ng in person. "But because the investigations were going on, the police did not allow me to do that. Therefore all I could ask was to pass the apology letter to the investigation officer (IO), hoping that it can be handed to uncle," she said.

Tay added that she "snapped" that day as she had been "going through a very tough time" as a sole caregiver to her 89-year-old grandmother, who is bedridden."

Well, it is finally closed. A tearful Ms Tay has wanted to apologize earlier but could not in person had expressed her apologies again here.

Hope the 76-yr old uncle had accepted the apologies. As for the guy who barged forcefully into the uncle that almost knocked him over, he was lucky to escape with a fine. It was totally unacceptable for him to do that. A thuggish behaviours.

Sometimes there r reasons to snap, yet the consequences can be very painful. Especially when an unintended death happened! Of course this did not happen in this case.

Peace to all involved n move on with life.
