Daily Lessons from Life 02 August 2017 - 96-yr old prisoner?

"German prosecutors say 'bookkeeper of Auschwitz' fit for prison

A medical examination showed a 96-year-old German known as the "bookkeeper of Auschwitz" was fit to start serving his prison sentence, German prosecutors said on Wednesday, but his lawyer said a court should decide whether he was well enough."

This is the last of the major convicted war criminals of WWII of holocaust. An inhumame n most unimaginable crime against humanity. Yet, I wonder if it means very much to the descendants of the grossly persecuted victims that this 96-yr old serves his 4 yrs jail term or not!!

How could such a person, if he had participated in this crime against humanity, enjoy such a ling life? Where is the justice? Or maybe he lives so long so that he can be judged for his terrible crime? But then, what could he done then as the accountant?

Guessed I hv to understand what did he actually do besides counting the corpses in that terrible terrible massacre to appreciate what this sentence mean.

What can we learn fr history?
