I dont know Mr Ong. His story as revealed in the program is meant to be inspirational n motivating for other who suffered the same bad journey as his past life; that there is hope to recover n someone had done just that.
When one got himself in that type of troubles, he could not be living a clean life. This much he admitted.
Drinking n smoking in a sales person's life is quite common though there r exceptions. Often follows by women n stuffs when one has money n no proper purpose.
The death of his 11-yr old son is tragic n unfortunate. In his own accts, his 3 promises to his dead son kept him alive. Even then, it took a while for him to fully committed n succeeded in turning ard his miseable life.
There must be many more ups n downs, moving 1-step foward n 2-step back, joys of suceeding n shame of not keeping up, etc. then was let on.
STILL, the key is he is ok now. With a new wife n 2 new kids. He is sharing his story to encourage people who had fallen into the same pit, hopefully without their loved ones suffering fr terminal diseases, to get back on their feet n rebuild their lives.
Some will succeed not just becoz Mr Ong reaches out to them. Those that succeed r due to their own sheer will n determination to change for the better. That can't be a bad thing.
All the best to Mr Ong. N the people who need help with debts issue esp due to gambling!!
