"The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) has asked blogger Han Hui Hui to remove a series of online posts in which she alleged judges had lied to persecute her politically. The AGC wrote to her on Monday and gave her seven days to take down the posts and apologise for her allegations on all her social media accounts.
If she fails to comply, the AGC will file contempt of court proceedings against her, an AGC spokesman told The Straits Times yesterday."
Ms Han is in the news again. I admire her gung-ho-ness for sure. At the same time, my rational self has to ask: if the allegations r false, how will she get out of troubles this time? She is saying the judges lied to get her prosecuted!! Is this even possible? Judges make judgement based on laws n his/her interpretation of the laws. Opinions may be different though the facts must be facts.
As for alleging she was treated badly when in custody n subjected to a stripped search by a police woman while policemen supposedly walked past also stretched one's imagination! Surely this type of search must be in an enclosed place. Otherwise, technical violation of proper protocol must hv taken place!
I m not sure where this will end. At least the AGC n the SPF r reasonable n had asked for retraction n apologies only.
