The UMNO Youth has filed charges against the officials who were investigating the scandal previously for handing secret documents to the USA DoJ n FBI. One of whom is the highly independent n respected x-Central Bank governess.
If truth is a secret that revealed gross misconduct n more evil behaviours, can it be ordered to be bottled up n kept in the national vault? Rationally it should not unless it will affect national security n sending countries to war!!
A political move to silent the truth? n justice? How does it work? Why grown adult would go to such depth to suppress the truth when truth is what we were taught to seek as young children?
A sad regression? A wise destination for grown up who want power n money?
2. The annual AGO Report
I m glad we hv them working to keep everyone on his/her toes.
As an x-auditor n financial/operation controller, I know to expect perfection with no violation of even the best written control procedures is absolutely unrealistic.
All written procedures must be executed by human capital. Humans by nature is imperfect n prone to mistakes, carelessness, laziness n greed.
Hence the need to hv segregation of duties, independent check-n-balance, rotation so as not to create a complacent "we always do it this way by that person" mind-set.
The key is: if someone has committed a crime, no mercy must be shown. If lapses were due to carelessness, lack of competence, etc. help should be extended n remedial actions planned n executed immediately n follow up vigorously n thoroughly.
No witch hunt needed. Just deal with the issues as appropriate in a firm n respectful manner.
