"Thu, Jun 25, 2009 AsaiOne Diva - Patricia Mok should not be laughed at
Patricia Mok is a victim and should not be laughed at, say her friends and industry insiders. Earlier this week, the Singaporean actress had her bottom pinched at a club along Clarke Quay. Despite telling the culprit to stop, the molester continued to grope her private parts.
When news of the incident surfaced, netizens started making fun of the actress, expressing their shock that the culprit would pick her as a victim. Appalled by the comments, her friends and colleagues were quick to defend her, saying that netizens should not fan the flames any further."
This incident revealed something about certain people. Those with a twisted sense of right and wrong! Hopefully these were just the anamolies rather than the rule!
Patricia Mok is a local celebrity who gained fame after many years of hard work as she is not a 'good looker' actress and entertainer that most stereo-type glamorous actresses in the industry.
Lessons for me are:
1. some people have a twisted sense of wrong and right or lost the sense of what is right or wrong! To mock the victim who was molested simply defied logic!! It is obvious some people are not using their heads;
2. at the same time, when that line of warped logic was challenged or pointed out to be flaw, those who have the courage and integrity to admit mistake and gracefully step-down are the wiser ones. Unfortunately, many a times, people do not have that courage and integrity to back down!;
3. regardless of what the mindless think, the victim has every right to sue and put the culprit behind bar or penalized by the laws of the land. So, Patricia has done the right thing though she was unfairly and unncessarily or mindless being mocked!
Learn to be clear about your judgement. Don't be confused and make foolish judgement!!
