Last night was the last night of 2016 n I was at a "Country down Party" at a friend's place doing the usual things. Drink, snack, eat n make merry.
Around the world, New Zealand welcomed the new year 1st. Ours came 5hrs later. All the while I could not help to think about the worst case of a terrorist attack inflicting great damages to life n properties. Luckily nothing happened! Credit to the efforts of our law enforcement agencies n a bit of luck. In Istanbul, the terrorist or terrorists struck killing 39 party goers with 60+ injured, some in critical conditions. Condolences to their family n friends. Shame to the cowardly terrorist(s) who picked on defenceless n innocent people! Do we need to talk mercy with these terrorists, NO. Once their guilt r proven, hit them with the most severe of penalties.
Going forward in 2017:
1. be a good human being, father, husband, son in private. N a good professional at work.
2. be aware of potential terrorist attacks when in the little red dot n while abroad.
