Karma is the word some would say when this news broke. Why? The PAP MPs, including many cabinet ministers hv been " accusing" the WP's MPs responsible for the AHTC since GE2011 of frauds n improper payments, etc. but never formally charged them. Now, out of the blue, or maybe not, this news broke!! Hence, Karma?
Kudos to the CPIB for pursuing this case. Again demonstrating the independence that the citizens need to see in a one-party dominant government.
It will be interesting to see if the WP will heap on this unfortunate incident to show that the "pay for integrity" approach by the government may no longer work as the "elites" get more greedy? Or that despite their messy accounting n a few rounds of audits by different Big-4 firms, there appeared no frauds had been committed!
2. Putin's Move of NOT taking tit-for-tat measure of expelling equal number of US diplomats from Moscow must hv surprised quite a few experts!!
For me it just show how naive n out of touch the Americans r! Putin knows when his pal, President-elect Trump is officially inaugurated on 20 Jan 2017; a call will get to Trump n Trump will just ask the same folks to come home. Even with some Republican lawmakers hv so-called reservation as they had shown their flexibility to work with the Winner even if they had big ugly fights before!!
Now the Obama's admin looks very silly. They perhaps should hv taken these actions before the President Election!!
