Yes it is true that the office is bigger than the individual, any individual. It also means that subsequent Presidential candidates hv licence to lie during the campaign n "change" positions as the reality does not allow or constrain the President-elect to make good his or her campaign promises.

ps: was terribly sad to listen to the BBC comments that Obama instead of making a victorious farewell tour to various countries, is taking a final funeral March!!

We r back to what is real n important instead of the EP thingy n lamenting the imminent demise of TPP.
There weren't much new input by the minister. The terrorist threats r still present n while home grown radicals r not many n well monitored, the situation in our neighbours r a different kettle of fish. That said, our neighbours r dealing with the threats as they hv their skins in the game too.
Sgp will, n is, collaborating with our neighbours n the international anti-terrorists organisations to proactively flash out any suspects n nip the bud before it can blossom.
Be alert. Be ready. May it never happen in Sgp.
