NKF sacked its CEO for personal indiscretion
It is indeed very sad to read this as shared by the Chairman of NKF that the sacked CEO is one of the best he had worked with.
The other director said that NKF will not be stopped by one man's misconduct to serve the 4000+ dialysis patients n beneficiaries it is helping.
MoH committed that it will work with NKF to ensure the services to the beneficiaries will continue n not be impacted adversely.
It is also emphasised that the financial management of NKF is not impacted in any way by this personal indiscretion. A very important reassurance as it has reported reserves of more than S$200+M n disbursingS$20+M a year!! Big big money.
This is reassuring n much needed considering how hard it had worked n how long it took NKF to walk out from the long shadow cast by the last scandal of EX-CEO spending lavishly on himself using money donated by million of small n big donors.
Kudos to the Board for the decisive actions taken. Kudos to the CEO for admitting to his indiscretion that is now a police case. No one will ever understand what drove him to do what he had done. The fact is: the staff got his dilemma resolved n got the justice he deserves. The "offender" will pay, n is already, paying the price of his indiscretion.
Not a pretty picture. May the victim involved move on without any psychological scare. May the CEO find peace after his misconduct.
