7.8 strong quake with many aftershocks that were felt around the South n North Islands! Tsunami hit the east coast of South Island too. Looking bad. Hope no human casualties as it hit after midnight. Hope in the day break, not too many bad news to uncovered.

2. Circle Line signal interference fix
Great that experts from the ministry of defence n other agencies got involved besides SMART, LTA n the manufacturer n Singtel.
While 1 professor fr one of the universities expressed surprise that the root cause found weren't investigated initially seems to imply the competence of the original investigators r low; perhaps the authorities can ask him 1st next time!
Joke aside, it is indeed wonderful to be able to mobilised resources fr unconventional sources to resolve complex n uncharted issues, technical one like this is good example.
Great out-of-box approach that I will attribute to minister Khaw's leadership n clout. Bravo n well done.
Next is to upgrade the capability of the SMRT n LTA experts to fix such issues.
3. Anniversary of the deadly French capital attack where many innocents died
Time flies. One year now since that deadliest attacks by cowardly terrorists using religion as an excuse to kill.
For the survivors n the surviving families n friends of those killed, hopefully they hv found some forms of closure in their own way.
Many came to the concert hall where the most deaths happened to honour n remember them. They come to show such idiotic attacks cannot cowed the people from living their lives to enjoy normal activities of concert going n enjoying music. The misguided n cowardice terrorists will never understand such courage n resiliency.
At the same time, may all people everywhere where the zealous terrorists may lure be on alert n flash them out before they kill again.
