Uncle Chan had passed on at age 89 having completed 101 marathons! Even more remarkable considering he picked up running at 50-yr "young".
He has fulfilled his philosophy of: "It is not abt winning or the timing. It is abt Finishing!"
RIP Uncle Chan as u hv FINISHED the ultimate marathon of your life journey n FINISHED WELL!!
ps: I hv met him a few times fr 2008 to 2017 when I participated in the Std Chart Marathon Sgp along the route. Everyone who met him will let out a fond n friendly shout of: "Hi Uncle Chan!!". He will b missed!
