SINGAPORE: Singapore has suggested extending the mutual suspension of Malaysia’s restricted area over Pasir Gudang and Singapore’s Instrument Landing System (ILS) procedures at Seletar Airport, Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan said on Wednesday (Jan 23).
Writing on Facebook, the minister said he had just had a "heart-to-heart discussion" with his Malaysian counterpart Anthony Loke in Singapore.
"I suggested that we extend the mutual suspension of Malaysia’s Restricted Area over Pasir Gudang and Singapore’s Instrument Landing System procedures at Seletar Airport, to give our officials more discussion time to reach a win-win outcome," said Mr Khaw.
"He will take my suggestion back to his Cabinet colleagues."
This is the third time the two ministers have met, said Mr Khaw, after previous meetings in Putrajaya and Bangkok last year.
"Minister Loke and I will meet again, after the Lunar New Year, to continue the airspace discussion," he added."
This will b status quo until aftet CNY. It should be worked on in earnest instead of being allowed to drag on. Maximum 3-mth fr end of Feb 2019. Otherwise, it will b a messy divorce case that both parties will waste time, energy n money to wrangle over the same things over n over again to no one's satisfaction!!
3. Sneaky CPF Board trying to extend mthly payout fr 65 to 70?!!
The CPF Board came out to explain, utterly unconvincing, that it will payout at 65, just that the acct holders need to inform CPF Board that s/he wants the payout to b at 70 instead of the ORIGINAL PAYOUT of 65 when they transferred their CPF money to the retirement acct!!
The gov really hv to clear this UNEQUIVOCALLY n revise it to: u only need to tell CPF Board u want the payout to b at 70 IF u wanted to change fr 65. Otherwise, the default is PAYOUT at 65!!
If gov don't clarify this CLEARLY, it cannot free the CPF acct holders fr thinking: the gov just want to keep MY CPF money fr me!! Worst, is CPF Board running out of money to pay ALL ELIGIBLE CPF acct holders??
