If u hv not seen the clip on Dr M being quizzed by a Sgp student at the Oxford Union on the " unnecessary escalating territorial disputes between Msia n Sgp, here is the link.

My points specifically on Dr M's reply that somehow veered to Sgp's buying price of raw water fr Johore, Msia r:

1. Dr M was not convincing at all. He was not as he didn't acknowledge the fact that Msia has made the mistake of NOT exercising the contract rights to negotiate the selling price of raw water to Sgp THEN.

Acknowledged that mistake m missed opportunity.

Then,

2. tell the Sgp student that: on 2nd thot Msia wanted to negotiate the raw water selling price n Sgp decided to stick to the contract terms. So, while Msia has to legally complied, it does not stop Msia fr feeling aggrieved or unhappy.

Then asks the Sgp student, hv u being in that position b4? If so, can he feel emotional connected?

Now Msia has to wait for the next allowed "negotiation" time in a decade or two!!

3. In the meantime, Msia can create other reasons to make things difficult for Sgp. Unhelpful to promote harmonious neighbourlyness to say the least.

Maybe Msia can build it's own water refinery plant? That would b another headaches for Sgp though we could be "water independent" fr Msia by then!!
