"'Mission accomplished': Trump hails 'perfectly executed' Syria strike
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump on Twitter praised Western air strikes against the Syrian government on Saturday (Apr 14) as "perfectly executed", and added "Mission Accomplished".
"A perfectly executed strike last night. Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for their wisdom and the power of their fine Military. Could not have had a better result. Mission Accomplished!" Trump said in a Twitter post."
Love him or loathe him, Trump does what he promised!! At least in the international arena n in the area of shooting missiles!!
Russians were warned beforehand as the French thinks it is a good courtesy!
The British just hv to come along after Russians, they r still denying it, overstepped the line to poison its ex-agent n his daughter!!
Putin's Foreign Minister talked tough earlier that the Russians will shoot down any incoming missiles n blow up the bases where they were launched; be it fr a US ship or submarine or air base!! What did they do when the strike came? The Russians ask for a UN meeting!! The same UN that nobody respect with Russians among them!! How ironical n how absurd can international affairs!!
Will the Syrian people get peace? Probably not. Do anyone really care as long as Assad's army stay away fr using chemical weapones, they can go on killing as many Syrians as they like!!
Strange situation! Let there be known - this is how screwed up our world is now!!
