The couple who tortured n killed an intellectually challenged 26-yr old girl in the most cruel n inhumane manner had been sentenced to 16.5 yrs jail for the wife n 14 yrs with 14 strokes for the hubby.
I would prefer death sentence!

Man who kicked 10-year-old boy arrested after passer-by chased him down
SINGAPORE: A 29-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly kicked a 10-year-old boy unprovoked along Yishun Ring Road on Wednesday (Nov 29).
He was caught after a woman who saw the incident chased him down and brought him back to the scene before calling the police.
The police said they received a call for assistance at 12.30pm at a bus stop near Block 291 Yishun Street 22 and subsequently arrested the man under the Mental Health Act."
In the light of the killing of the 26-yr old girl after extreme abuses, this woman who chased down this "mentally unsound" 29-yr old man is very brave! Like she said: "I didn't know what come over me n I just sprinted n chased the man down! He might hv attacked me (n he did punched her once!!) n seriously injured me too!!"
Maybe we need to react instinctively when we see bullying behaviours in public!! Maybe we must support the person who stand up for people who were bullied when the bullies try to intimate the do-gooders! If this is the social norm, no bully will hv a place to hide n some tragedies can be averted!!??
