Daily Lessons from Life 04 August 2017 - Foreign influenced n start of next LEEs media storm?

1. 1st of all, let's take care of the little exchange between a 3rd gen LEE n the AGC

AGC filed a contempt of court charges against LHY's eldest son.
This was after Mr Li failed to take down a Facebook post which he put up on Jul 15, criticising the Singapore court system.
In its press release, the AGC reproduced the full post by Mr Li, who is the nephew of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and eldest son of Mr Lee Hsien Yang.
The post, which was set to “friends only” in Facebook’s privacy settings, included a link to a 2010 editorial published by the New York Times, titled “Censored in Singapore.”
In the post, he wrote: “Keep in mind, of course, that the Singapore government is very litigious and has a pliant court system. This constrains what the international media can usually report.”
Mr Li’s Facebook post was republished widely in Singapore after it was posted, the AGC said."

Interesting as a Lee is finally being suit by the government.

Will this bring the 2nd gen back into the fight as truce was somehow in place?
Will this academically bright Lee be able to prove his innocence?

Many will be watching.

2. "LKY School’s Professor Huang Jing identified as ‘agent of influence of a foreign country’: MHA
SINGAPORE: A senior academic from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), Professor Huang Jing, has been identified as “an agent of influence of a foreign country,” announced the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday (Aug 4).
“He knowingly interacted with intelligence organisations and agents of the foreign country, and cooperated with them to influence the Singapore Government’s foreign policy and public opinion in Singapore,” said MHA in a news release, without naming the foreign country."

Another interesting case. I hv not heard of this Prof before n now I know. I wonder just how influential is he really!?
The last time we hv a SPH journalist based in Hkg charged n imprisoned by PRC government for some kinds of "spy" activities too. It took us a while to get him out after he had spent a few years in jail.

For this case the Prof n his wife r barred fr re-entering Sgp while still in Sgp.

So, when must they leave the country should be made known to them so they can make the necessary arrangement.
I wonder what could be the effect on our foreign policy with the unnamed country who tried to influence Sgp through this Prof.
Hmm. We live in interesting time for sure!!
