Usain made 9 gold medals in 3 Olympics while Datuk Lee Chong Wei got 3 silver in 3 Olympics for his effort. Maybe it is destiny that despite been the best in 2012, he missed beating Lin Dan, who was truly Super-Dan in 2008 final. Tonight he lost to the young Chen Long. Maybe it is curtains call n last hurrah.
On the NDR tomorrow by PM Lee, the following may be featured:
1. be ready for a terrorist strike, especially at the 1st instance. How we respond in force, in the streets n in every home will b key. Clear factual information must reach everyone instantly. No room to tolerate fear mongering n throwing false rumours around.
2. sports unite easily as seen from Joseph Schooling's welcome by the masses! Yet, relying on Olympics champion to unite the people will be too far n in-between. It has to be at home, at school, at work n at play. It has to be a way of life.
Recent "official survey" on races revealed interesting input that racial discrimination is "silently" tolerated as most r mild.
For me the key is for every race to fully understand that without racial harmony, there will b no stability for anyone to build peace n prosperity. It is as simple as that unless u want to hv genocide n b just a "one race" nation!
3. the economy is not doing too well. How to look at the basis of "less is more" for the hugely experienced n willing older PMETs to be gainfully employed by employers who can still make some money but not exorbitant amount of money to want to hire these older PMETs.
Is there a need to temper with finance industry that must hv super high pay? must the landlords n developers make super profit to justify them taking up the businesses? We can hv better quality of growth instead of just growth at all costs.
4. ageing population is a fact n a tsunami wave upon us. Yet, old doesn't mean useless. Many more years to contribute after 55 yrs old if one keep oneself healthy. That can still start with those that just turned 50 yrs old. A national movement n a way of life it must be.
Let's c what the PM has for us tonight.
