It is surprising that the person would hv openly expressed supports for IS, a known murderous terrorist organization in social media.
That the authority had watched him for a few years before taking actions shows that the authority had exercised caution to prevent jumping to conclusion.
When accumulated evidences revealed a systematic n consistent behaviours that proved beyond reasonable doubts that the person is promoting terrorism n trying or tried to recruit others, actions must be taken swiftly n decisively.
Glad to see on CNA that an Islamic website person speaking for the majority of Muslims on telltale signs of un-Islamic writing n teaching:
1. when killing is justify due to not believing in Islam as Islam stresses harmony;
2. when it does not mention mercy as Islam speaks abt being merciful;
3. when building a global caliphate will solve all ills as many issues cannot be resolved just because a caliphate was established; etc. etc.
Indeed, in our multiracial n multirelgious society, all religions r good. Praise your own religion as much as u want. Interpreting the religion that others chose to believe n follow r their business n none of your own.
