Horror of horrors. Could not believe that I am so delinquent on updating my blog for the last few days!
1. 12/4: In KL and out and about till late. Hence, missed updating;
2. 13/4: got home late in S'pore and missed out updating too. Hmm. Commitment wavering!;
3. 14/4: busy catching up with work after business travel and heading off to Tokyo at mid-night. So, another miss! OMG! Feeling guilty indeed!
4. 15/4: Finally settled down in Tokyo and time to catch up on the missed postings.
a. received a few messages from friends and associates who know that I am in Tokyo on 'travel safe' given the deadly earthquake in South-West Japan. For me, Mother Earth has been stressed for many years now. The frequencies of earthquake and magnitude have been far and wide and more intense. Maybe Mother Earth is breaking up. If that is true, hopefully human race can find a way to stop it or slow it down by another million years so that human race can find a solution to stop it! It would not be fun to have earthquakes every so often and everywhere! RIP to the victims of this quake and strengths to the surviving family members and friends!
b. glad that the LEE's saga did not get magnified. Family disagreement should be kept as it even if it happened in one of the most prominent families in Singapore. Peace and harmony to the LEEs;
c. Indonesian official in charge of 'stopping the annual haze' brought GOOD and WELCOMED news of the Indonesian's commitment: 'That there is NO WAY last year haze will be repeated this year!' This is MOST COMFORTING as this month and last, we already experienced SOME haze from East Malaysia or Borneo!! Dealing with one major source of the annual haze is bad enough. Surely we want to avoid having to battle 2 major sources of the annual haze!! Thank you!!;
d. Charity marathon for David - contributed for the 3rd times to David's grand efforts of raising fund for World Visions Canada to fight 'child trafficking'. David is an amazing story that need to be told. Going from 'you cannot run due to back injury from being knocked down by a car in New York City to having lowered your Personal Best full 42.195km Marathon 3 times in the last 3 races'! David is simply amazing!! Keep running mate. Keep running!;
e. 'Anti-radicalization' efforts by Singapore Muslims - this is a significant initiative and NEED to be SEEN PUBLICLY, in-your-face by non-Muslims. For trust to be built, frequent and high quality contacts MUST BE established. There is NO TWO WAYS about this. When there is lack of information, people tend to 'speculate' or 'create self-justifying reasons' to validate his/her 'unbalanced position/viewpoints'! Keep working on this issue. Keep working on it!
