Great news that he is responding in writing to questions even though it was sporadically. It is so important for him to share what made his dead elder brother and him did what they had done so that the victims' family have a closure no matter what the reasons may be.
As for the rest of us, it will be a humbling experience learn what could have triggered this violence act lashing out against totally innocent strangers at a peaceful sporting event?
By understanding the reasons, no matter what, is going to be helpful for us to learn on how to respond to such future attacks. At least to make peace with ourselves that: 'Oh. Such things do happened!'
Will he REPENT for what he has done? Hopefully after he has come to his senses!!

SOME Japanese leaders are STILL NOT admitting to the FACTS that the Japanese military forces had committed GRAVE war crimes and inflicted much miseries and pains onto the victims of the WWII in China and the Asia war theatres. Many, or some, Japanese soldiers, including officers, HAD admitted to the atrocities committed during the wars. YET, some national leaders SAID: we did not do it. In fact, the history books of Japan do not have ANY RECORDING of such atrocities.
This is WHERE the Japanese and the German differed. This is WHY the relationship between Japan and its victimised neighbours like China, Korea, and Taiwan (Part of China?) will NEVER by stable and TRUSTING.
I wonder what is the difference between THOSE Japanese National Leaders WHO STILL deny that there were atrocities committed by their military forces in WWII and this surviving young 'terrorist' NOT admitting (hopefully he does admit that whatever the brother and him had done is WRONG - at least directing at the WRONG target) the crime that his brother and him had inflicted on the innocent bystanders!!
