I do not know who is Amy Cheong before her sacking by her employer, NTUC, for her insensitive and offensive comments about the Malay wedding in Singapore.
I did not know she is an Oz too and that she had 'escaped' to Perth with her hubby who is not of Chinese ethnicity.
Suffice to say her fouled language comments on her, guessed what, Facebook, brought her a lot more misery than she can ever imagined. Will she be bruised and traumatized for life. Will she develop a real hatred for Singapore and what the people, some anyway, who showered her with their 'hatred ladened' comments on her offending FB posting?
Is she a real RACIST at heart or the posting were just some silly unthinking slip of the tongue or pen? If she is a REAL racist, it will be hard to see how her life is a hubby not from her own race. What about her kid(s) when and if they have 1 or more? She will need lots of help.
Hopefully she is not but just being one of many FB and other social media users/writers that happened to be picked on.
For me, my best wishes to her and that she can take away something positive from this brutal encounter. If not, it will be more loss-loss all round.
