No news headlines to comment on as I am SIMPLY bowled over by my 1st experience in delivering training program totally in Cantonese to 12 local Hong Kongers who seems to indicate that they are quite satisfied with my delivery!
I simply give it a go without feeling too much burden that I might not do a good job. I had the confidence that IF the participants are NOT comfortable or felt being tortured by my command of the Cantonese dialect, they would have given me the feedback and I can switch the session to the originally indicated English version!
The participants were warm and more supportive and encouraging. One of even suggested that if I want to improve on my Cantonese, the best way is to speak it!! I am most thankful to them
It is truly a case of I benefiting from their generosity and kindness while hopefully they also gained from my childlike enthusiasm in delivering and sharing the 1-Day program with them!
Wow!! I am still on a HIGH!! Another 1st, another memorable life experience!!
