The youngest PAP candidat was unveiled this morning. She is a young lady of age 28 who had been involved with grassroot work for the past 7 years.
Lessons for me are:
1. it is good to have young people in the political renewal process;
2. she, and those like her, will be challenged by the existing voters and doubters. Whatever it may be, they will need to endure and listen carefully before making themselves understood by the voters. It will be a challenge worth taking if they are sincere about serving the people. You see, not all people who need help realised they need it. Also, even if they do, they not think that you are the right people to help them. You just have to do what you think is the right thing to do. To serve. To be a servant leader!;
3. the end results will take a few years to show themselves. In the meantime, put your head down and work hard while lift your head up and look at the ultimate goals set earlier once in a while to make sure that you are in the right direction still!
May the renewal process begins and may there be better leaders than the good leaders we supposedly have today. Only then do we know that the renewal process and the talent spotting and nurturing process do really work!!
