WASHINGTON, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Hugh Hefner, the twice-married founder of Playboy, is taking the plunge again.

Hefner, 84, said on Saturday in a posting on Twitter that he and his girlfriend Crystal Harris, 24, got engaged on Friday.

"When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory," Hefner tweeted."

I know I know this is a frivoluous piece of news. Still, hey, when a playboy, or the publisher of Playboy Magazine, who was twice divorced, at 84 decided to get engage to a 24 year old girl, why not give him the exposure he craved or used to? LOL!!

Lessons for me are:

1. with LOVE, anything is possible. Age gap be damned!;

2. alright. I have to be realistic too. What's the bet that the engagement will last more than 1 week or 2 weeks or 1 year or whatever? I don't know as I am not a gambling man. At least not in this department!!;

3. finally, I just want to wish Mr. Playboy and his fiancee: happy engagement and quickly move to marriage.

It was one of those miracles on Christmas day though reported in Boxing Day, the day after!! :-)
