"Davos elite faces evaporating trust in 'post-truth' era
AVOS, Switzerland - Trust in governments, companies and the media plunged last year as ballots from the United States to Britain to the Philippines rocked political establishments and scandals hit business.
The majority of people now believe the economic and political system is failing them, according to the annual Edelman Trust Barometer, released on Monday ahead of the Jan. 17-20 World Economic Forum (WEF)."

An alarming detail is that even the high income, educated and well informed among the surveyed 33k people in 28 countries feel that the system is failing them too!!
I guessed it is hardly surprising if u considered the survey released by Oxfam recently that 8 richest people owned more than 50% of the world population! A staggering statistics. No matter how talented n endowed those people are, is this statistics a bit embarrassing? Does it validate that the rich will only grow richer when the have-not will forever be at the bottom of the pyramid?
I m not against enterprise n capitalism. Just that if it is pure free market n competition decides the survivors n winners, a lot of the poor people will be dead by now!!
