2 fairly new planes crashed n killed all on board with 5 months of each other.
US Boeing, the producer of the Max8 plane said it is safe to fly though they r "readying" a patch for the anti-stall software that might hv caused the crashes by April.
Yesterday I wrote abt the stunning claim by a foreign reporter who said: planes r much safer with the advent of automation as if the theory abt the anti-stall software issue should b no big deal n unworthy of the authorities in China, Indonesia, Ethiopia, UK n EU to ban the Max8 n its variant fr flying!
Guessed what? This morning the US authority also stops the Max8 n 9 from flying!
A climb down by the US authority n a slap on the face of that overly casual reporter n the news owners/editors!!
The dominance of USA n all things US centric will come to an end, earlier if the US continues to show arrogance when dealing with other nations!!
The decision is easy if one valued safety over "show me the evidence" mentality.
Given a total of more than 300+ lives were lost when no concrete evidence is available yet, does risking another crash make good sense?
It is interesting that the black boxes recovered fr the Ethiopian flight hv been handed to the French aviation investigators instead of the USA one. This is unusual n a break fr the past practices.
Maybe it shows that the USA folks CANNOT b trusted to do an honest n professional job of analysing the data fr the Black Boxes!! Intriguing implication?
May the French investigators give top priority to this task n let the whole world know what exactly caused the plane to crash!
