The Council of Churches was please with the band while Minister Shanmugam said he could see how Sgp would hv allowed the band to perform!
So, looks like the red line has been drawn, or being confirmed in no uncertain terms, that anything n any person linked to any anti-religion, anti-social n violent behaviours that intrude or infringe the right to harmony n peace WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in Sgp. Period!
All the intellectual debate can go 9n abt is this a suppression of free speech n free choice? is this becoming of a global city? etc.
The key fact is: Sgp always advocate n stand very firm on the doctrine of "responsible freedom of expression" n "language, religion n race" can never b disrespectful!
