"Maritime dispute: Malaysia has taken steps to de-escalate tensions, 1 ship left in Singapore waters, says Khaw
SINGAPORE: One Malaysian ship remains in Singapore's territorial waters as of Wednesday (Dec 12), said Singapore Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan as he noted the steps taken by Malaysia to de-escalate tensions on the ground.
There were three Malaysian government vessels in Singapore's waters last Friday. "
A positive welcomed move by Msia withdrawing 2 of the 3 ships in Sgp water.
Probably a lot of work went behind the scene to get there. Sgp n Msia officials n maybe forces friendly to both countries chipped in to help.
GOOD!
Dr M is 93. A temporary PM. He had some fixed ideas abt why he need to, or must, give it's twins, Sgp a hard time. Some, through his own admission stemmed from his not so happy days as a medical student in then Singapore University. This incident shows that having a happy memory is important. At the same time, at 93, Dr M must let go. Something his grandchildren may be able to help. Or just look at his most worthy friendly rival, laye LKY, who passed on still after helped creating a miracle called Sgp. He left with nothing!!
If Dr M want to create a legacy for his 2nd time as PM of Msia, it is best he gets Msians to b the best that they can be instead of beating up on Sgp. When u focused on others, u probably neglected working out n building yourself properly.
Let the last Msian vessel leaves Sgp water n work on getting Pasi Gudang Port competitive again. After all, it DID snatched 2 major shipping lines to it's fold when Sgp PSA Ports became too cocky n expensive!
As for the "mgt of southern Johore air space", let the proper negotiation proceed if Msia so insists.
