Daily Lessons from Life 26 September 2017 - The end justified the means?

"Fleeing Rohingya fighters accept suffering and exile in exchange for world’s attention

A commander of ARSA, the militant group that sparked deadly violence in Rakhine State, has admitted that the group was aware of the likely outcomes of attacking the military and did so anyway to generate global attention to their plight.

“Dying fast is better than dying slowly. They had been torturing us day by day so we had no alternative. That’s why we acted,” he said.

“We knew this would happen. We united and we decided to do this.”

Coordinated attacks carried out by groups of ARSA fighters followed throughout the state. Since then, hundreds of villages have been burned and more than 400,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled across the border to Bangladesh."

Is this right? Did this commander n his 50 plus "comrades" asked the 400k+ or more fellow Rohingya for their agreement to do this on their behalf? Do they agreed that "THEY hv been killing us slowly n dying fast is better?"

It sounds like irresponsible behaviours n reckless n stupid.

Of course it is WRONG n against humanity to retaliate the way the Myanmar army n some "murderous monks" (who should hv NO PART as it is the army's role to fight terrorists) chasing n hunting down the terrorists leading to, intentional or otherwise, hundreds of Rohingya been displaced!!

Again there could be though hard to verify situations where the terrorists tried to frame the Myanmar army for atrocity n indiscriminate clearing of Rohingya to flash out the terrorists or vice versa that muddy the TRUE SITUATIONS.

Some outsiders use the words: "ethnic cleansing" or "genocide" just based on the sheer no. of Rohingya fleeing Myanmar is understandable despite Myanmar authority urging objective assessment of the situation n denying any such systemic atrocities.

The immediate task is that of humanitarian. Keep n feed the REFUGEES 1st. Then show the world that the Mayanmar army did not do anything wrong by allowing UN personnel to follow the army ard tackling the terrorists only.

Only then can misinformation n disinformation can be eliminated at source!!

Will the Myanmar gov do that? It is their choice to make!!

Peace to Myanmar. Peace to Asean.
