1. "US Ambassador Haley - UN has exhausted options on North Korea
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Sunday the U.N. Security Council has run out of options on containing North Korea's nuclear programme and the United States may have to turn the matter over to the Pentagon."
Really? So UN has exhausted options on North Korea? So, the Pentagon will decide the next steps to deal with Fat Kim the Rocket Man?
This is laughable if not for the dire consequence of a missed attack on North Korea to annihilate whatever nuclear weapons they have in ONE BIG STRIKE by Pentagon!
Can one imagines the sky of North Korea and South Korea and Japan and China covered in nuclear clouds from nuclear weapons that explored? While the USA is looking from FAR AWAY never near the REAL battlefield while selling MORE 'defensive nuclear weapons' to its allies to FIGHT Fat Kim and his evil empire??
Anyway, I am not engaged to write the next screen play for a Hollywood movie named: 'The end of North Korea though the real target is PRC".
Let the Pentagon decides if their civilian political masters cannot!
2. "Formula One: Hamilton wins Singapore Grand Prix after Vettel crashes out"
Really? The winner won because the leader crashed out? That's exciting. Lots of SKILLS I guessed the winner had?!?!
Ok. Ok. I am not a F1 fan as I find the sport a rich man indulgence (with their 'rich' women' or 'escorts' and whatever) that produced freaking noise pollution and lots of 'good for the economy' consumption.
The Sgp government finally DID cave in (or I hope we got a MUCH BETTER deal than the 2 earlier 5-yr term) to the demand of F1 body and agreed to sign for another 4-year term. Of course they said the terms are confidential BUT Sgp will still make net returns on its investment from the 'specific tourist money from this F1 race' vs. the total investment into hosting the race.
I am STILL very keen to know the METHODs the relevant bodies used to CAPTURE these significant statistics.
Personally I don't think I have come across any retailers that asked me: Are you here because you HAPPENED to come to watch the F1 race?
As for putting Sgp on the map of 'potential investors', I NEVER buy this point of view as EDB had been promoting Sgp as an investment destination to the top leadership of the Global 1000 enterprises around the world and ANYONE that is worth his/her salt to be courted HAD ALREADY been contacted.
To say that some of these potential investors get to know Sgp due to the F1 race and will or may come to invest in Sgp is pure 'smoking something speech'!
Anyway, I stayed far away from the F1 Circuit area each year. It never interest me and it never will. As for SKILLS for the winner, perhaps. Yet a lot of it goes to LUCK like the leader crashed in a circuit that is HARD to pass IF you are no. 2!
