Daily Lessons from Life 29 August 2016 - Less haze, Roast meat jailed n minority EP

1. Great to learn that our Indonesian neighbour is promising less haze this year. Just hv to rely on them n take their words for it.

After all, their own people at ground zero suffer a lot worst than any of us in Asean.

2. Roast meat makers jailed for tax evasion. A pretty sad news really given that they were splashed a crossed the news when they supposedly sold their recipes n stall for a few millions recently. Surely they would hv expected a lot of attention n scrutiny by all, including the taxman. How is it worth going to jail for 4 weeks for less than S$60k of tax evasion.

Hope they live through this mistake n get their lives back.

3. Another minister, acting, pushing for giving a minority candidate a chance to be EP.

Acting Minister of Education, Adults Learning, said it meets the wish of the CNA penalists to at least allow a minority candidate a chance to win.

Honestly, wishing is one thing while whether anyone is qualified or not is another.

Let's see what will happen next after the proposal by a select committee is debated by the parliamentary.
