1. US Justice Department investigating persons involved in money laundering of 1MDB assets
Hmm. Interestingly it said the money ultimately tied to a "Malaysian Official One".
Who could that be?
Will be totally critical to restore some faith in humanity n the belief that ethical n morally right behaviours r still cherished n respected.
Otherwise, how can human beings teach their next generation that uncontrolled greed is bad as it will lead to corruption of self, people who r subject to the corrupt leaders, n no place for ethical n morally right behaviours.
That will b very very sad.
May the investigation restore some faith back. Even if it is just an iota.
2. SMRT formally to be privatised
A national asset that was corporatised n now want to privatise.
While the opposition party is concerned about transparency after it gets privatised, I m interested to know if public money has been used to "help" SMRT, n hence it's major shareholder, Temasek, to make easy profit.
e.g. the S$1B bus enhancement program - how were the money used n if SMRT benefitted fr this?
e.g. the just announced S$1B to buy over "non-performing" rail assets since SMRT could not make enough money to replace them n the public money from the government need not pay the book value. It should be treated as a fire sales as SMRT cannot afford to maintain these rail assets!!
The government really need to help its citizens understand these n not just plan within a powerful, n no doubt very smart n strategic, folks n execute.
Help us understand how the grand plan comes together so that we don't misunderstood that SMRT is just riding on government's charity.
What about SBS Transit's rail assets?
