1. China is going to hold its military drill in South China Sea after the ruling! Russia's sports doping is a state organised affairs! And the incumbent Turkey President taking laws into his hands to make the rebels pay!
All these headlines tell us something about the nation and the person with authority running these countries!
China - 'Might is right'. Forget about rationality. Forget about reputation as they are just intangible and not something you can 'eat'! Friendliness to your neighbours can only get you that far. If they fear you, you have a better chance of 'controlling' them! Never mind the costs;
Russia - 'Winning at all costs for the glory of the Nation of Russia' must be the mantra of those who are charged to orchestrate and administer these doping programs. Maybe they seriously believe that the doping is harmless to the long term health of the sports persons! What if they are wrong? They obviously are willing to let the sports persons take the risk since they are not the one being doped and experimented on like the laboratory white mice!;
Turkey - 'Thank you for giving me the excuse to really nail you and make sure you will regret forever!' must be what the almost toppled President whatever his name is thinking as he take out than 10k people who had linked to the failed coup! So aggressive that the EU has to issue a statement to ask it to respect the laws! Well, try to see from the President angle. Once bitten, twice shy!
2. High Speed Train (HST) Deal between KL and Singapore to be signed tomorrow!
After the HST idea was initiated almost 3 years ago (did not realise how fast time flies!!), the 2 neighbours are going to sign the MoU tomorrow! This is great progress. It will cut the travel time between KL and Singapore to 90 mins vs. 4-5 hours by car!!
China, Japan and South Korea are reportedly teen to be the suppliers and builders of the HST. My guess it the Chinese will probably get it as it is willing to 'buy its way' to building this HST between KL and Singapore. This project can be the launching pad to initiate the 'HST to China' grand plan of the current leadership of China! In China, when the top leaders want it done, it will get done, regardless!
