Daily Lessons from Life 05 June 2013 - China Internet banned Yellow Duck!

China INTERNET banned search for 'Yellow Duck' as it supposedly represents the tank or thanks that rolled in Tiananmen Square 24 years ago on 4th of June and crashed and killed many 'peaceful' protesters then. In Singapore we have the MDA issuing a new requiring licensing for online websites which meet certain criteria like more than 50k visitors per month, reporting on Singapore news, etc. Both approaches looked similar but are very different. One is banning 'key words' for searches while the other is to ensure that news websites meet the higher standard of reporting since they are powerful media in the cyberspace and age. In Turkey just yesterday the incumbent PM called Twitter an evil thing! That it should be banned during turbulent time as it is used to spread lies and untruth! Interesting side shows for me really. So, no serious commentary on lessons from life today. Chill...
