Not a day goes by without learning some not so nice, or to be honest, fairly terrible news about this and that diseases in China. e.g. the thousands of dead pigs in the waterway of Shanghai, the bird flu deaths.
And of course, the heavy metal (not Grandfunk Railway or Deep Purple kind of heavy metal music!) underground water I mentioned last night in Beijing!
Will the Chinese get to enjoy their new found wealth. Wealth so big and so ginormous that almost every business person on world wishes that he or she can make the Chinese his or her top customers.
It is a long term struggle, and surely we will see worst days before it gets better.
Will people conquer the natural instinct of 'instant gratification' vs. 'harvest what you sowed only after you work very hard to maintain and keep the ground futile and un-poison'?
I hope so. After all, the world does get a lot of stuffs from China - made in or grown in!!
