Daily Lessons from Life 02 April 2012 - Updates of my 2012 Resolution Status

I will update my 2012 Resolution status since it is the end of 1Q2012.

1. goals - still on track though with the usual ups and downs on the weight management part! Still doing 75-78kg instead of 73-75kg!! Got to work harder and hopefully joining the 'Lose to win' contest organized by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) can give that extra push;

2. revenue generating - slow and steady with work for BMC and Ken Blanchard and Tricor in 1Q2012. The 7e push is not happening though;

3. volunteering
3.1 did 3 out of 4 months for MCYS PSB VPO duties. I really believe that my short 5-minute speech touched some of the probationers and their parents or guardians after the PO's presentation in the 1st part of the program.

3.2 SHA with HPB - graduated with a full ceremony in Feb 2012. Performed 2 official duties since and will be presenting Health Ambassadors (HA) orientation this month and next. Slowly but surely we need to find more deployment that matches the interests of the qualified SHA/HA!.

4. training for the marathon in December 2012 - still on-going. There is no substitute for steady hard work here!!

5. getting work published - no full articles though have written many feedback and comments on social issues as usual in AsiaOne.com, Yahoo! Singapore, and the REACH government portal;

6. investment front - paper losses still staring at me without mercy though made some cash gain. The typical: invest when I lose money but trade when I make! LOL! Still holding out for some drastic turnaround for some of the low down penny stocks!

7. finding time for the unexpected - rather than the unexpected I should say the 'leisure' and 'keeping in touch with elderly family members and friends' activities are kept up deliberately. So far no major 'unexpected' events came my way. That's good. Keep it that way. e.g. made post-CNY lunch with some long time Motorola friends and their spouses in S'pore. e.g. Met up with long time friends in Beijing in January 2012 due to BMC's assignment (a bonus of sort!), etc...

Well, I will continue to track these resolution as we enter 2Q2012...
