"Sat, Jan 08, 2011 The New Paper -Lawyer says: "I was bait to trap Gary Ng"

She had no qualms getting close to him.

Her motive? To expose "Gary Ng".

Ms Yeo Poh Tiang said that she offered herself as bait to lure "Gary Ng" so that she could trap him.

The 30-year-old lawyer told The New Paper yesterday that she also provided the police with leads that led to the arrest of "Gary Ng", whose real name is Chen Guilin.

She said that a few clients had approached her for help to recover some debts from Chen.

"We only knew him by his moniker and had no real information on him, so it was difficult to serve the writ on him," said Ms Yeo, who founded Yeo & Associates last year.

Ms Yeo decided to lure him to find out his true identity.

Notes: 'Gary Ng' was dubbed the Singapore's Edison Chan for his sex-ploit with many women and posting the videos online!!"

I am not interested in 'Gary Ng' but this lady lawyer who took the risk and did the unthinkable; putting herself up as bait to lure this twisted person out!

Lessons for me are:

1. some people like to live out a fantasy that is obviously not helpful and useful to society. In fact, the fantasies of 'Gary Ng' probably put some ladies in very uncomfortable positions as some of them did not really agreed to being filmed, let alone to have their sexual encounters put online!;

2. people with fantasies that violated the rules of law and yet seek publicity while believing that they can evade being captured eventually are delussionary! Like the Chinese saying: It is not IF you will be caught BUT WHEN!! In this case, it took a courageous and professional lawyer to bait the culprit out and nagged him with the law enforcement agencies! Good job!;

3. there will be victims who kept quiet but if you hurt enough people, some of them will not take the victimisation quietly! In this case, some of his victims decided to take action, this coupled with the brave young female lawyer's willingness to take calculated risk to bring justice to all, justice was done.

I salute the young female lawyer. Well done. Fearless knowing that the laws is on your side is reassuring!
