An extravaganza of royal glamour should lift the austerity gloom in Europe next year with the wedding of Britain's Prince William in spring and of Prince Albert II of Monaco in the summer.

William is to marry his university sweetheart Kate Middleton in London on April 29, with Prince Albert and his South African fiancee Charlene Wittstock tying the knot over two days on July 2 and 3.

'There's a public infatuation that you wouldn't believe,' French commentator Stephane Bern, who has already covered dozens of royal weddings, told AFP.

'The world's television stations are already making absolutely sure they will get the live feed."

When I read this headline, I do not really know what to make of it!! Seriously. With the 'common' people embroiled in economics crisis, many staring deflation of 'overly inflated assets', longing for the next job offer that come along, or straining to put plain bread on the table for the starving families, these journalists are talking about extravagant and expensive royal wedding lifting the spirit of the people and the glooms that engulfed them!!

Maybe. To some. I hope, a lot more will find this suggestion pratronizing, disgusting, disrepectful and most distasteful!

Lessons for me are:

1. if the royal wedding EVER use 1 Euro or a British Pound of the people, the couples and their families should be hang!! OK. I cannot be so murderous can I. They should be bang up like what some angry students in UK did to the ex-husband of Diana and that lady recently!! LOL!!!;

2. if the people are REALLY get relief from witnessing these royal weddings in 2011, blessed you. It is so pathetic that in this day and age that one should have a royal and non-royal distinction just by birth in some households! I can stomach billionnairs who made their fortunte themselves. But it is hard to swallow the fact that some people need to be address as: 'Prince or Princess' by birth. This is so, well, ridiculous!! Do they not bleed the same blood like you and I? Do they not clear their system each morning just like most of us? are they smarter than some of us?;

3. I am sure there will be the traidionalists who will clamour to catch a glimpse of the marrying royal couples. Just like many did when Diana married Charles. What a wonderful and spetacular circus show! How did it end? We know. No fairy tale. Not even good sex!! Of course, it will be wrong to curse these marrying royal couples, especially the non-UK ones. Still, their people will have to make the choice. To watch or not to watch. To marvel or not to marvel. To discount or not to. To disrupt even?

What is pitiful state if people do clamour for these royal weddings to life themselves out of despairs instead of fighting through the rubbles themselves. To dream and take action is not the same as to fantasize a fairy tale!!
