The headline for Singapore today is the death of Dr. Goh Keng Swee, ex-DPM, and a man many credited as the Architect of Singapore Economic Development and Growth from a 3rd world backwater to a 1st world vibrant global nation!
The headline in Bangkok is one of the Red-Shirt Leaders, an ex-General fighting for his life with a bullet through his head during an interview!
Same destination but very different way to go!
One has done and achieved while the other might only dreamt of 'what could have been done and achieved!'.
I am in a pensive mood and as I pondered over these 2 situations, I conclude that life has been most generous and kind to me. I should treasure it and continue to strive to do good as much I can and for as long as I can!
Glory to Dr. Goh and glory to the dead ex-General as well.
p/s: Dr. Goh's passing will probably triggered many of his long time (old is not used!) colleagues who survived him will have another chance to meet up, catch up, and reflect what's next for them. Hopefully, all will end well! :-)
