Daily Lesson from Life 17 September 2008

I missed blogging last night as I was out doing a presentation on 'The 7e Way of Leaders' courtesy of Dana Chan's GTDC Global Mentors event at the Tomorrow's Square, where Marriott Hotel is located too.

Dana is a friend from Motorola University Train-the-Trainers program conducted by me last year. She runs a proper training and consulting practices.

There were 18 attendants and the 1-hr presentation went relatively well in my opinion as well as from Dana's perspective. It is always fun for me to be able to share with anyone who want to know about what this '7e Way of Leaders' is all about!

We get a good array of questions at the end of my presentation as I apply the 'each table/team to submit at least 3 questions' instead of asking for 'any questions?'!!

At the end of the evening, 7 of the attendees purchased a signed copy of 'The 7e Way of Leaders' books. It is satisfying and I am grateful to Dana for providing this opportunity to share.

James Feng, my other friend from the Motorola University Train-the-Trainers program offered to send me to the Pudong International Airport after the event and it really touched my heart as he has gone the extra miles for me. It was unexpected. I am grateful for generous friends wherever I go.

I look forward to continuing the good work of sharing 'The 7e Way of Leaders' again in the future!!

Lessons for me:

1. do the right things right with people and people will want to be your friends;

2. share without reservation and the people with the right attitude will appreciate your unselfish sharing and they will reciprocate!;

3. appreciate the people who want to be your friends and want to help you. Let them know through your actions and behaviors!
