Keeping the discipline!
I went for a 1hr 20min jog at 10.30pm from my hotel to Tiananmen Square and then down to the junction of China World Hotel finishing at 12midnight.
Why did I do it? I did it as I was again showing sign of slackening!! I know that once I break the routine of running 10-12km or 1-1hr 15mins twice a week while on the road, I WILL NOT be able to or will find it very difficult to re-start and maintain the so far successful adoption of a holistic healthy eating and exercising habit!
Lessons for me as a leader:
1. when you are out of your normal environment you have to make conscious and special efforts to keep up the good habits you had developed!;
2. it is very difficult to cultivate good habit but very easy to lose it!;
3. there is no substitute for keeping up with a good habit. Just DO it!! Do not hesitate. Once you hesitate the natural resistance to pain will takeover and you will be doomed! You will fail in your endeavour to stick to a holistic healthy eating and exercising habit!
May I continue to keep the discipline and be successful at this life changing habit forming!!
