15th yrs ago the tsunami triggered by an undersea earthquake killed more than 300k people fr Indonesia all the way to India south eastern coast (?) on 26 December Boxing Day!
People r still mourning the dead n hoping the tsunami early warning system, invested with more than USD or Sgd 400+m around the Pacific Rim will work properly, though the smaller Palawan tsunami that killed a few hundreds a few years back proved all is not well.
Poor maintenance n vandalism supposedly were the main reasons!
Today in Sgp, people were excited by the solar eclipses! In early afternoon, many people, including tourists were all over a few strategic locations to watch n learn n took photos of this event, which would b seen in 2063 (44yrs later!!).
No panic. No beating of gongs to save the Sun fr being eaten by the ferocious Sky Dog as describes in Chinese folklore!
