Daily Lessons from Life 17 December 2019 - A dog xhasing it's tail?

"More financial help for part-time tertiary students with enhanced bursary

SINGAPORE: Students
"Government to offer more BTO flats in 2020, with demand expected to pick up

MND also introduced a new Enhanced CPF Housing Grant, so that first-time buyers with household incomes of up to S$9,000 can get up to S$80,000 in grants when they buy a new flat.""

It seems that the more the income earned, the more subsidies r needed to buy HDB BTO flat??

R we saying despite the growth in personal income, the growth simply cannot keep pace with the growth in HDB BTO flat prices??

If true, i can pictured a dig chasing it's tail going round n round n round!

Does this make any sense??

Can't the HDB BTO be priced at S$80k less??

It will negatively affect the resales HDB flat prices? If so, r we also artificially pushing ir keeping the resales "mkt" price high or higher?

Can't the young just get their 1st HDB flat cheap so they can raise a 3-kid family without too much financial burden n pressure till the kids r 18 yrs old?

Why chase one's tail when the 1st HDB home can b priced much lower given 80% of land in Sgp r gov owned!!??
