Something positive to start the month of December 2016!
The High-Speed Rail (HSR) agreement between Malaysia and Singapore will be signed on 21 December 2016 after sorting out some administrative details.
This is great.
Forget about the Teerex tanks holding in Hkg SAR Custom compound for now as no official reasons had been given yet for holding them there.
The other good news, to Sgp anyway, is that Japan and Sgp will push for the TPP to be ratified as soon as practicable with or without USA even though some said TPP will be quite meaningless or not as impactful without USA.
On a positive foreign affairs note, Ms Aung San Suu Kyi, the national leader of Myanmar, is honoured with a hybrid orchid named after her. She was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Vivian Balakrisnan. Something to cheer about really.
