Daily Lessons from Life 21 October 2016 - Foreign sponsorship out! A few black sheeps? Net rage jailed!

1. Foreign companies will need to get 'permission' to support or/& sponsor 'controversial social and political' events like the Pink-Dot Day at the Speakers' Corner going forward!

This is necessary as the government had observed that more and more foreign companies are supporting or/& sponsoring such issues at the Speakers' Corner.

MHA/MoL Minister said controversial social political issues should be discussed and decided by Singaporeans only and that there is a NEED to make it CRYSTAL CLEAR to foreigners and foreign companies.

This is necessary and not negotiable. I wonder what would happened if the LGBT friendly foreign companies threaten to pull out of Singapore because of this?

2. Errant e-Scooter drivers are just a few so said the embattled e-Scooter community!

Well, the e-Scooter community that are law abiding and keep to the safe mandated 'low' speed limit MUST stop lamenting that it had been misunderstood or even maligned!

NOBODY will have an issue with GOOD e-Scooter users. WHY should they be? If they do in such situation, they should be brought to the court to answer for malicious libelling of the GOOD e-Scooter users, on a case-by-case basis!!

So, focus on taking out the errant e-Scooter abusers!

3. Man jailed for inciting violence against police and NEV officers!

This man was certified to be normal psychologically. So, he has to take responsibility for his irresponsible and dangerous incitement of violence against public servants who are merely doing their jobs diligently and professionally.

His case would send a strong signal to the public and anyone who want to try his/her luck that one has to pay for such aggressive and dangerous behaviours!

A pity that he has to learn it the hard way. Interesting that just inciting is good enough to get one jailed when nothing or no one actually acted on the incitement!

Maybe when the incitement was acted upon, it would be too late for the public servants since they cannot hide from the public when serving them!

Let it be known now that abusive and threatening behaviours are punishable by the laws!
