Being very sloppy with blogging on this Australia trip. Not proud about it!
A few BIG deals over the last few days:
1. 9 August 2014 - the 49th Birthday of Singapore!
It was great to see Mr Lee Kuan Yew at the NDP as he is getting on in age and his health, though very good by his age, is still a concern by any one who cared about him.
May he continues to keep well and enjoy the rest of his significant life!
2. Mr Robin William's Apparent Suicide
It is a very unkind piece of news. Mr Williams had lifted my spirits on many occasions with his performance over the many decades I watched him in TV and Movies. He is endearing as far as I am concerned.
At 63 years old, he left the world at a very young age. A great pity.
Sometimes I wonder if the Creator, whoever your religion believes him or her or it, simple has to made the brilliant artists into tormented souls? Many great artists passed on in depression and committed suicide. Of course, this could be just an emotional response as the hard data probably points to most artists, including the great ones, live a full and happy life.
It was disturbing for me to learn that someone said that Mr Williams is a coward to commit suicide - taking his own life. As far as I am concerned: he did what he believed was the best for him at that moment in time. Coward? Probably not. He, and many who opted to end their own lives, is more lost and confused than being cowardice.
Rest in peace Mr Williams. Thank you for the laughter and happiness you brought me whenever you perform!
3. A very bad year for aviation industry!
A day or two ago an Iranian turbo-prop plane crashed while trying to return to the airport shortly after taking off with scores of people dead! The pilot noticed the problem and was trying to return to base and land. The plane did not make it. Another disaster that involved passengers and plane!
Let's hope there will be NO MORE air crashes from now till end of 2014!
Back to normal services for my blog hopefully from now on!
