Daily Lessons from Life 31 December 2012 - Farewell 2012 and Welcome 2013

Time of the year to conclude and reflect on the year that has just passed and welcome a new year with lots of resolutions and doing good - and hope to actually delivery on them!!

Review of my 2012 Resolutions:

1 Life Long Pursuit always: - at personal level, to be a good father, husband, son, friend and human being; - at work level, to be a professional; practising the 7e Way of leaders;
Lu: I think I have done it as truly as I could. :-)

2 To continue the holistic healthy lifestyle of 'eating right and exercising regularly' so as to keep the weight at 73-75kg and off HBP medication;
Lu: Still no way near 73kg though did touched 74.5kg ONCE!! Still, managed to keep, largely, to this resolution.

3 To continue to find ways to promote the 7e Way of Leaders, to generate revenue from at least 3 sources, and to get article published in established publications;
Lu: Not a whole lot of work or efforts on promoting 7e Way of Leaders as business though always try to walk the '7e Way of Leaders'. No actual publication of articles but my usual 'ranting' or expressing my views on many online and offline forums on topics of national interests and intellectual substance!

4 To continue to contribute as Volunteer Probation Officer (VPO) with the Probation Services Branch and as Senior Health Ambassador (SHA) for Health Promotion Board (HPB);
Lu: Very glad to be deeply involved with the VPO and SHA volunteer work. Thank you PSB for nominating me to attend the National Day Dinner at the Istana (Presidential Palace).

5 To invest wiser and trade wisely to profit from a very challenging 2012;
Lu: made some cash profit but still more than 50% below on the portfolio on paper losses! Student still. A bad student too!! LOL!!

6 To complete the 2012 SCMS on 02 December 2012 under 6hrs and raise at least S$5.5k for Singapore Cancer Society!;
Lu: Did it in 6 hrs 6 mins but raised S$9338 with generous help from supporters and friends. Happy with the timing as the training was NOT not as much as I wanted.

7 To always has space for the Unexpected.
Lu: great assignment with the Tulsa University 4-week stint in Oklahoma, USA pushing myself on course design, translation, etc and working with the team on short notice. Very satisfying.

Had a humbling experience with one particular session and learned to 're-learn' and be humble!

As for 2013, it will be more of the same as these are long term universal goals for me. Plenty to look forward to.
