"Dad's suffering lead to son's inspiration The New Paper Thu Aug 26 2010
Son invented device which allows users to slide out of their wheelchairs to help them get into vehicles or beds to help dad with amputated legs."
This is a wonderful and inspirational story. It is especially so when one of the inventors is a Malay as he served to break the potential stereotyping that some people in Singapore may cast on the Malay.
It is important to have his success story told.
Lessons for me are:
1. a tragedy does not get a good man down!;
2. when you try to help someone you love or closed to you, you try harder!!;
3. it is good to apply what you learn in school to create something real and NICE!! Making things work for a good cause is a wonderful experience!
Keep up the good work young man and your co-inventors! May you find material wealth with this invention and use the wealth to help other needy!!
